The Bible & Checkov’s Gun

The theory of Checkov’s Gun is that one must never place a loaded rifle on the stage if it isn’t going to go off. It’s wrong to make promises you don’t mean to keep. Similarly, he once wrote: Remove everything that has no relevance to the story. If you say in the first chapter that there is a rifle hanging on the wall, in the second or third chapter it absolutely must go off. If it’s not going to be fired, it shouldn’t be hanging there.

The stage of life. Trending topics play out as though taken directly from a directors script. Every day we see the regurgitation of the same names, faces and themes. Demonizing one person or group while coincidentally leaving out key perspectives. Surely, people aren’t just randomly made famous. Often times certain people and conflicts have been strategically placed in order to help propagate the agenda to maintain control. The content calendar of life unfolds for the economic benefit of a few. We are living out biblical prophecy as we have now survived a “global pandemic” as the oldest tribes in the middle east continue their age old war over land and beliefs. Stay focused on what matters and where your land and freedom is.

Call it karma, say “it is written”, broadcast and tell-a-vision it, but somehow find a way to arise from the pain and suffering caused by these incessant stories and write your own.
